Fairbanks Morse tractors

after reading the article from the march 18th,2009 posting, concerning the 1917 fairbanks morse tractor, I felt that I needed to share with you that there is a discrepancy concerning this tractor and it's actual ownership. While Brian has restored this tractor, the true owner is actually still his grandmother, who is very much alive. I just wanted to set the record straight.

It's Good To Be Home.

Good Morning all,
It has been a long time, but feeling better, and feels good to be back to work,if you call this work.

What about this weather? July 22,2009 and my car thermometer this morning driving to work was 54 degrees. Has been for the better part of July. Coolest July for several years. Do we have to worry yet about an early frost? That will be the next thing on our mind for Sept-Oct.

For now we can enjoy the County Fairs, and State Fairs. I enjoy the County Fairs, and look forward to the Iowa State Fair the middle of August. Just think of all the food on a stick!!!

Planting Progress

Heard this morning on the Farm news that before all the rain the Farmers got 47% of the corn planted. Thats putting in some long hours last week. We did need some rain, but not quite so much. Parts of the state got an ok amount, and others got 5 to 7".Thats to much I don't care where you live. It probably flooded out some of that 47% corn that was in the ground. That's always tuff to see, and expensive. Can't fight with mother nature, just wait for the field to dry and go at it again. Thats the American Farmer.
