Kubota Introduces a Power Boost New M135X is the Biggest In Its Utility Tractor Line. Kubota engineers set out to merge power and comfort when they designed the new M135X tractor at 118 PTO-HP. For power, the engineers chose a V6108 4-cylinder engine with a 6.1-liter block. It operates at a low 2,200 rpm for economy. Kubota’s EMS (Electronic Management System) provides computerized engine controls for economic operation. A new “work Kruise” control monitors the engine to maintain a constant speed. Kubota’s Intellishift system puts the power to the ground. For comfort, a suspended hydraulic front axle, which can cushion a ride by traveling up and down with the tractor’s movement. The system can be set to run in transport or loader mode, or a toggle switch can turn it off. Cabs are quieter than their predecessors with interior sound levels at 72 to 73 decibels. The new M Series include the M100X, M110X, and the M126X. Price: mid $70,000s.
