How much can a restored 4020 John Deere bring in at auction?

We have a couple of 4020 John Deere tractors that are in great working condition. We are thinking about selling them. Wondered if it would be worth it to restore them if they would bring substantially more that way? Any ideas on how much that might increase their value?

John Deere one-lung

I got a John Deere one lung engine from grandpa last week when they sold his farm. Can anyone tell me about what is worth or where I can find information on them.
thanks

Antique Tractors needed for another edition of Iron Memories

Another year is almost over and I can hardly wait to see the entries for the next edition of the Iron Memories storybook.

As you may already know every year we gather information from our antique tractor friends and put them together a full color book filled with pictures and 45-50 tractor restoration stories to mail out in the spring.

Professional Antique Tractor Restorers Don’t Come Cheap

Dan Petermans Spoker D

Professional restorers don’t come cheap. This doesn’t mean they are over paid by any means. Like any other professional knowledge, training, aptitude, skill and tools are a must. None of the above comes cheap.

The professional restorer has invested a great deal of time perfecting his/her skill. When looking for a professional to do your restoration word of mouth is one of the best sources to determine what you can expect. A good restorer will do what you ask, a great restorer will tell you what needs to be done and do it.

Tire size

Will 13-6 tires fit on my 46 JD A rims? Are they the replacement for the 12-4-38?

1956 John Deere 60 Orchard

Paul Watral of Long Island, New York is a collector of rare and unusual antique farm tractors. His favorite are those with low serial numbers and very low production. In his collection of over 100 tractors several are one of a kind like this 1956 John Deere 60 Orchard.
