Happy Holiday's from Iron Memories
Iron Memories and The Hot Line Guides Division would like to thank all of our loyal readers and wish you a safe and happy holiday season. May your crops be bountiful and your home fires warm as 2009 draws to an end and we move into 2010.
How many of have pondered what to purchase your lady for Christmas? Before you go out and purchase her a new blender or a vacuum, if you are an antique tractor collector, ask yourself, does she enjoy going to the tractor rides with you. It is not as crazy as it sounds. Each year as I write the restoration stories for Iron Memories, I speak with many ladies who share stories of the restoration of the antique tractor in their family. So often they share how they would like their very own tractor to drive in parades and on tractor rides. Many share how they enjoy helping out and getting grease under their fingernails restoring a rusting piece of iron to its former glory. So if you are looking for a gift idea it may not be as hard as you think.
During the past thirty days several antique tractors have sold at prices ranging from $800 for an unrestored 1949 Case VAC to $8,500 for a fully restored John Deere 4020. One of these tractors could be just the ticket for years of fun and the beginning of a family heirloom.
