Happy Birthday USA
As we celebrate this country’s 234th birthday take a few minutes and remember why we celebrate this day.
Ask anyone what the 4th of July reminds them of, and most will tell you it is fireworks, family picnics, a day off work, and partying?
What does is mean to me? To me it is a time to be thankful that I live in a country whose fore fathers had the presence of mind to set up a government that allows me the right to choose. I can choose to do the work I enjoy, live where I wish, and change my mind and do something else if I so desire. That is what it means to be an American.
For this, I want to thank everyone, that signed the Declaration of Independence, has served to protect this country now and in the past, every farmer that has ever put his plow into the soil, every educator that has provided us with knowledge, every laborer that has helped to build the infrastructure of our towns and cities, to our law enforcement that keep us safe and everyone that provides services and friendship to another.
Yes, I will enjoy hot dogs and burgers on my family cook out, I will enjoy the fireworks display and I will enjoy my day off work…..Why because I CAN.
Celebrate the day but, don’t forget what you really have, not what you have in your bank account.
Drive safe and I'll see you after the Holiday
