Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Pie


This is about the easiest recipe I have ever made. Great use for fresh picked strawberries and rhubarb. A little tart treat. Uses items usually found in your cupboard. No shopping trip needed. Step 1. cut up, mix together and set aside, the following 4 cups raw rhubarb (fresh or frozen) 1 cup raw unsweetened sliced Strawberries (fresh or frozen) Step 2. mix together well and pour over fruit, and mix well 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/4 cup all purpose Flour 2 tablespoons quick tapocia pinch of salt Step 3. let mixture set five minutes Step 4. prepare 1 deep dish or 2 regular double pie crusts fill with mixture put on top cust, (lattice or cut slits to vent if not using lattice) Cook:15 minutes @425 and another 30 minutes @ 350 Note: cook it on a cookie sheet or foil, I guarantee it will boil over and make a mess in the oven. Cool and eat. yum,yum,yum
