Farmall is celebrating 85 years of service for the American Farmer. The first Farmall tractors were built in 1923. The Farmall was built for row crop farming. The Farmall regular was designed to use implements fore and aft. In 1932 Farmall come out with the F series, and there four-cylinder engines. Four years later was the beginning of the famous Harvester Red #50 paint to make the tractors more visible to motorists.

In 1939, the F series Farmalls were replaced with a new letter series A's, B's, H's and M's. Along with the new series came a more modern styling. 390,000 Farmall H Tractors were made ranking it as the top selling Farmall of all time.

From the letter series to the number series in 1954, with the Farmall 100, 200, 300, and 400. The Farmall name continued into 1973.

In 2003, Case IH reintroduced the Farmall name to a line of Compact tractors. The new Farmall compact tractors ranged from 31hp to 60hp.
